CoWorx Staffing Services is seeking an experienced Quality Control Manager to support a growing manufacturing operation in the Griffin, GA area. This direct-hire role is well suited for a quality leader with a strong production and manufacturing background who is comfortable working hands‑on in a fast‑paced, fabrication and assembly environment. Local candidates within a reasonable commute are required.
Role Summary
The Quality Control Manager will lead and maintain the company’s Quality Management System (QMS) while actively supporting manufacturing operations. This position partners closely with production, engineering, and operations teams to ensure product quality, compliance, and continuous improvement across custom‑fabricated products.
Core Responsibilities
- Own and manage the site Quality Management System (QMS) within a manufacturing setting
- Maintain and support ISO 9001:2015 certification, audits, and ongoing compliance
- Develop, implement, and document phase inspection and quality procedures for custom‑fabricated fuel tanks and generator enclosures
- Work directly with manufacturing teams to ensure quality standards are built into production processes
- Track, analyze, and report key quality metrics including:
- Customer satisfaction feedback
- Non‑conformance reports and corrective actions (CAPA)
- Safety and quality trends
- Capture and monitor continuous improvement activities and improvement card initiatives
- Support warranty investigations and manage related budgets and corrective actions
- Interface with customers, suppliers, and internal stakeholders regarding quality and manufacturing issues
- Travel to customer sites, vendor facilities, and meetings as needed
Manufacturing & Safety Duties
- Actively participate in and support plant safety programs
- Promote safe manufacturing practices and ensure compliance with OSHA and company standards
- Provide quality guidance on the shop floor during fabrication, assembly, and inspections
- Perform additional duties and projects as assigned by leadership
Education & Experience
- Bachelor’s Degree and/or at least 5 years of experience in a quality role within a manufacturing or fabrication environment
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Hands‑on knowledge of ISO 9001:2015 in a manufacturing setting
- Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, inspections, and production workflows
- Proficiency with basic computer applications including:
- Microsoft Outlook
- Excel
- Word
- PowerPoint
- Ability to read, write, and communicate clearly in English
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to work across production, operations, and leadership teams
- Ability to analyze manufacturing and quality data and communicate findings effectively
- Professional, confident communication with customers, suppliers, and internal teams
- Valid Class C Driver’s License with an acceptable driving record
- Strong customer focus, accountability, and ownership mindset
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior experience managing quality control in a manufacturing environment
- Advanced familiarity with ISO 9001:2015 documentation and audits
- Strong Excel skills for reporting and data analysis
- Previous supervisory or leadership experience in production or quality teams
