Essential Duties And Responsibilities

A Substation Wireman constructs, maintains, and monitors Cowlitz PUD substations and associated hardware. Other duties include but are not limited to shipping, receiving, and managing associated substation warehouse material including establishing warehouse limits and inventory. Will be required to drive and operate equipment and CDL classified vehicles as well as working in proximity of high voltage lines and buss work.

Minimum Qualifications

**Experience, Working Conditions and Other Requirements:**

• Must have a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Must adhere to the District's residency requirements for response workers.
• Demonstrated experience operating a PC, laptop and tablet.
• Must be a qualified Journeyman Electrician having served a sanctioned IBEW Electrical Apprenticeship program or the equivalent in another comparable electrical craft.
• Class A commercial driver's license (CDL) with no air brake restrictions
• Must be up-to-date and have thorough knowledge with current construction standards, equipment, techniques and safety rules.
