The Vacancy: There is one 8 hour, full-time, 10-month, permanent position at a middle school site. The list established from this recruitment will be used to fill future, part-time and full-time vacancies and substitute/temporary positions for up to six months. The Position: Under general supervision, to perform a variety of clerical, typing, recordkeeping or student service functions and do related work as required. Required Qualifications: One year experience in typing and general clerical work, English usage, spelling, grammar, and punctuation, basic arithmetic, filing, and procedures, a knowledge of modern office practices, procedures, and equipment including receptionist and telephone techniques, and must type at a minimum rate of 40 net words per minute, and ability to speak, read, and write in Spanish is desirable.
Selection Procedure: The selection process will consist of a written exam and a qualifications appraisal interview each weighted 50%. Applicants must submit with application all of the following:
- Letter of Introduction
- Letter(s) of Recommendation (Three, no older than a year, signed and dated)
- Resume
- Typing Certificate (40 Net WPM no older than a year)
