THE VACANCY: There are a few part-time, Avid Tutor, temporary positions at various school sites. This recruitment will also be used to develop an eligibility list to fill future part-time vacancies and substitute/temporary positions in this classification for up to six months. THE POSITION: Under direct supervision, tutors secondary school students individually and in study groups in college prep courses, and perform other work as required.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS: Must be enrolled and completing at least 12 units per semester in an accredited college or university. Enrollment in a program that will lead to a teaching credential is desirable. Graduation from high school is required. Preference may be given to graduates of Covina-Valley Unified School District High Schools. The following must be attached to the edjoin application:
- Letter of Introduction
- Letter(s) of Recommendation (One, no older than a year.)
- Proof of HS Graduation
