Covia is looking for a dynamic Lab Technician for 2nd Shift who will have a positive impact on the Operations team at its Technisand Wedron location in Wedron, IL.
The successful incumbent will have the following Key Accountabilities:
- Obtaining and preparing product samples for analysis and storage
- Conducting various tests according to established laboratory procedures
- Utilizing various computer applications to compile, record and report test results
- Performing general housekeeping within the laboratory
- Following Covia, MSHA and OSHA safety standards at all times
- Working in a physically demanding work environment
The successful incumbent will have the following Minimum Qualifications:
- Physical and chemical laboratory testing procedures
- Microsoft Office and various other computer applications
- Basic mathematics, statistical analysis, and particle size distributions
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
