Reservation and Guest Relations Associate / Hosting

Job Summary
We are seeking a friendly and organized Hostess/Host to join our dynamic Covey team. The ideal candidate will be the first point of contact for our guests, providing exceptional customer service and ensuring a welcoming atmosphere. This role requires excellent communication skills, a passion for hospitality, and the ability to manage guest relations and reservations effectively.

Responsibilities

• Greet guests warmly upon arrival and guide them to their tables.
• Manage reservations and seating arrangements efficiently using the Tock software system.
• Maintain an organized waiting list during busy periods and communicate wait times to guests.
• Answer phone calls with professionalism, providing information about menu options, specials, and reservations.
• Assist in maintaining cleanliness and organization of the front-of-house area.
• Collaborate with servers, bartenders and kitchen staff to ensure smooth service flow.
• Address guest inquiries or concerns promptly and courteously to enhance their dining experience.
• Provide support in other areas of the restaurant as needed, contributing to a team-oriented environment.

Requirements

• Previous experience in guest services or food service is preferred but not required.
• Familiarity with POS systems, particularly Toast POS, is a plus.
• Strong customer service skills with an emphasis on guest relations.
• Excellent communication skills and phone etiquette.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
• A friendly demeanor with a passion for hospitality and helping others.
• Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings and weekends.
