What are the responsibilities and job description for the JANITORIAL LEAD position at COVENANT WOODS?
Covenant Woods located in Hanover County, is seeking a Full-Time Janitorial Lead (Min Starting Pay $17.00 Hourly). Must have the ability to clean all areas to include cottages, apartments, assisted living areas and healthcare units to the highest standards with minimal supervision. Must be flexible and be able to Performs day to day cleaning in designated area.
Job Duties:
- Assists the Environmental Services Supervisor in maintaining oversight of the Housekeeping and Laundry departments. Assures optimal use of available staff. Thoroughly monitors the physical plant to assure a clean and safe environment.
- This role involves hands-on work while assisting management and supervisor with various operational tasks
- Performs event set ups, waste removal, floor care, housekeeping and laundry tasks.
Qualifications:
- A minimum of 1 year in a lead housekeeping role carrying out housekeeping duties, preferable in a Health Care setting.
- Demonstrated proficient knowledge of industry best practices regarding the proper operation of Environmental Services equipment as obtained via hands-on experience
- Previous floor care and event set up experience a plus
Hours:
- Flex hours to include weekend work
- Rotating holidays
Requirements:
- Hours will be 40 hours per week with times set by the Associate Director of Environmental Services and can be changed as deemed necessary to carry out work requirements. This position is an essential personnel position. Required to work during inclement weather and respond during emergency events.
- May work with dust, fumes or odors. May work inside or outside in hot or cold temperatures and in wet or dry conditions. May work around loud noise and stand on concrete. Usually works alone.
