Lead Custom Home Projects with Craftsmanship and Care

Covenant LLC is hiring an experienced High-End Residential Lead Carpenter to oversee daily field work on custom home and renovation projects throughout Essex County and the Greater Boston area.

This position is ideal for a skilled carpenter who can lead by example, keep work moving efficiently, and support a respectful, well-organized job site. You will take ownership of day-to-day carpentry execution, guide team members in the field, and help deliver high-quality residential projects with precision and professionalism.

What You'll Do

• Lead carpenters and helpers on high-end residential construction projects
• Perform framing, layout, trim, and finish carpentry work as needed
• Read and apply architectural plans, elevations, details, and specifications
• Layout floors, walls, roofs, windows, doors, and finish components accurately
• Coordinate daily tasks, materials, and job site priorities
• Work with Project Supervisors to help keep schedules and project milestones on track
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized job site
• Communicate professionally with clients, subcontractors, supervisors, and team members
• Solve field issues thoughtfully and keep work aligned with company standards
• Uphold Covenant's expectations for quality, safety, communication, and craftsmanship
  
  

What You Bring

• Several years of hands-on residential carpentry experience, from frame to finish
• Strong layout skills for floors, walls, roofs, openings, trim, and finish details
• Experience leading a crew or directing work in the field
• Ability to read construction plans and understand architectural details
• Confidence in making practical decisions and solving problems on-site
• Strong knowledge of job site safety practices and safe work habits
• Professional, respectful communication with clients, trades, and coworkers
• Reliable work ethic, attention to detail, and pride in quality craftsmanship
• Valid driver's license and dependable transportation
• Authorization to work in the U.S.
