CPP/CTR Instructor
This position reports to the CPP and Counseling Manager and is a salaried, exempt role.

Position Overview
The CPP/CTR Instructor delivers structured instruction in Career Preparation and Career Transition curriculum in alignment with Job Corps requirements. This role focuses on preparing students to enter training, develop career pathways, and successfully transition into employment.
You will guide students in building workplace behaviors, setting goals, and understanding expectations in a professional environment. The classroom is structured, purposeful, and focused on real-world application.

Core Responsibilities
• Delivers instruction in Career Preparation and Career Transition curriculum in alignment with Job Corps requirements and program standards
• Prepares students for training, employment, and long-term success through structured career readiness instruction
• Guides students in developing career plans, setting goals, and building employability skills
• Maintains a structured and disciplined classroom environment that supports learning and accountability
• Promotes student motivation and engagement through consistent expectations and guidance
• Counsels and motivates students regarding behavior, performance, and personal development
• Adapts instruction to meet individual student needs and career goals
• Develops supplemental lesson materials and recommends curriculum improvements as needed
• Maintains accurate student records, including attendance and documentation
• Submits required reports, including student evaluations, hours, and requisitions
• Ensures classroom cleanliness, organization, and proper use of equipment and supplies
• Maintains accountability of students and reinforces expectations consistently
• Attends required meetings and training sessions
• Adheres to all aspects of the Quality Assurance Plan
• Models and reinforces Career Success Standards and employability skills
• Promotes a safe environment free from harassment, intimidation, and disrespect
• Performs other duties as assigned
Qualifications
• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Bachelor’s degree in Education, English, Social Studies, or related field preferred
• Experience teaching or working with youth preferred
• Experience working with at-risk or disadvantaged youth preferred
• Valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record preferred
Additional Requirements
• Strong classroom management and organizational skills
• Ability to obtain and maintain CPR and First Aid certification
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to motivate and engage a diverse student population
• Ability to work collaboratively with staff and departments
• Ability to maintain structure while building rapport with students
