Company - Our client is a growing North American distribution organization supporting a broad network of locations across the U.S., Canada, and Mexico. The company is investing heavily in technology-enabled business transformation as it integrates acquisitions, modernizes core systems, and scales its operating model.

Job Title - Director of Applications

Location - Texas — Dallas/Fort Worth strongly preferred; Houston is the secondary market. This role requires regular onsite presence and approximately 25% travel, primarily within the U.S.

Must Have Skills:

• Proven leadership experience driving large-scale business transformation and ERP transformation initiatives across multiple functional areas.
• Broad operational ERP experience spanning areas such as inventory, warehouse operations, order processing, supply chain, manufacturing/remanufacturing, sales, and financial management.
• Strong program and change management capabilities, including experience consolidating multiple businesses, systems, and processes into a common operating model.
• High emotional intelligence and demonstrated ability to build strong partnerships with executives, functional leaders, subject-matter experts, and teams throughout an organization.
• Strong executive presence and leadership potential, with the ability to grow into broader technology leadership responsibilities over time.
• Significant plus: Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central transformation experience; however, business transformation leadership is more important than experience with a specific ERP platform.

Responsibilities and Job Details:

• Lead applications strategy and execution as our client progresses through a significant business and technology transformation.
• Drive the consolidation of multiple businesses and ERP environments into a common operating model and enterprise platform.
• Partner extensively with leadership and functional teams to establish priorities, build alignment, and translate business needs into technology initiatives.
• Support applications across sales management, financial management, manufacturing/remanufacturing, supply chain, warehouse management, and broader operations.
• Lead the organizational and process changes required to successfully implement and adopt new enterprise systems.
• Help integrate acquired businesses and establish scalable processes and technology capabilities that support continued growth.
• Manage an applications team with two current direct reports and assess opportunities to build and right-size the organization as transformation efforts progress.
• Coordinate effectively with internal employees and external technology partners to deliver transformation initiatives.
• Operate as a collaborative, business-oriented technology leader focused on removing bottlenecks and enabling functional teams to succeed.
• Support an evolving technology ecosystem that includes ERP modernization, e-commerce, data, cybersecurity, and other transformation initiatives.
• Help establish the applications capabilities, governance, and organizational foundation required to support increasing business complexity.
