Job Title – Communications Technician
Location – Eagle Ford Basin (Floresville, Pleasanton, Kennedy, Victoria, Gonzalez, George West, Stockdale, Lavernia, South San Antonio)
Role Type – FullTime
Must Have Skills:
- 2 years of Tropos Mesh experience (1 year accepted if otherwise strong)
- 3–5 years of Industrial Wireless experience (minimum 2 years of hands-on hardware work)
- 1 year of Oil & Gas field experience
- Proven ability to independently troubleshoot and resolve field issues
- Experience using man lifts, working at heights, and lifting 50 lbs regularly
Responsibilities and Job Details:
- 100% field-based role across Eagle Ford; daily travel with company-provided truck
- Install, maintain, and troubleshoot Tropos mesh radios and other wireless communication hardware
- Work with radio platforms such as Tropos, Zeta Wave, Cambium, Freewave, and GE MDS (CBRS optional)
- Diagnose and resolve communications failures independently, often in remote field settings
- Operate man lifts and perform tasks at elevated heights
- Handle and install DC low-voltage systems and solar/solar control equipment
- Regularly lift heavy equipment including batteries (50 lbs or more)
- Communicate effectively in customer-facing field environments
- Follow all safety policies and field procedures rigorously
- Collaborate with a remote support team that provides strong technical backing
- Role supports urgent operational needs tied to customer impact and uptime reliability
