PCA/CNA Position $17+ Hourly

PCA/ Multiple locations / $17 per hour

Personal Care Assistant is able to gently and capably meet the needs of our residents, providing a level of care that exceeds expectations. We’re seeking an experienced personal care assistant who can be a companion who seems like family, providing a lifestyle with new possibilities. Whether assisting with the effects of aging, a recovery from surgery, or an occasional errand, the personal care assistant will serve as an invaluable support person in a variety of scenarios. Our clients often need someone to bathe them, help them dress, and make sure they eat healthy meals. The ideal candidate will be able to handle any of these circumstances with a gentle touch and a cheerful attitude.

General Responsibilities and Accountability

Provides for the personal care needs of the patient as designated on the home health aide plan of care.

Reports changes in the patient's condition and needs in a timely fashion.

Documents care on the appropriate forms.

Submits to the organization completed documentation within established time parameters.

Performs all duties within the boundaries of the personnel care policies and procedures.

Provides care to the patient with attention to the safety needs of the patient.

Performs household duties as designated by the care plan.

Utilizes equipment and supplies appropriately.

Revises workload and patient care assignments as requested by the Paraprofessional Supervisor.

Demonstrated a high degree of commitment to the customer service and the provision of quality care.

Exhibits positive interpersonal verbal and written skills.

Attends a minimum of twelve hours of continuing education/in-service each year.

Participates in quality improvement activities and staff meetings.

Performs all other duties as requested or assigned.

Education and Licensure Preferred

Preferred - HHA Certification or CNA Certification / Required - 1 year of experience

Required: High School Diploma or GED Competency and Skill Requirements

Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Able to utilize the telephone for internal and external communications
