Position Summary

The Director, HRIS provides strategic and operational leadership for the organization’s human resources technology systems. This role is responsible for ensuring HR systems, data, processes, reporting, and user support enable efficient HR service delivery, accurate workforce data, compliance, and a strong employee and leader experience. The Director partners closely with HR, IT, Finance, Payroll, Compliance, and operational leaders to optimize current platforms, guide system enhancements, support enterprise initiatives, and translate business needs into scalable technology solutions.

• Lead the administration, governance, and continuous improvement of HR information systems, including core HR, performance, learning, compensation, benefits and related platforms.
• Partner with HR and leaders to understand operational needs, identify process improvement opportunities, and deliver technology solutions that improve efficiency, accuracy, and user experience.
• Oversee HR data integrity, security, access controls, reporting standards, audits, and compliance with applicable policies, regulations, and privacy requirements.
• Develop and maintain HR dashboards, workforce analytics, standard reports, and ad hoc reporting capabilities to support data-driven decision-making.
• Lead HRIS projects, system implementations, upgrades, integrations, testing and post-implementation stabilization.
• Serve as a liaison between HR, IT, Payroll, Finance, vendors, and operational stakeholders for HR systems-related matters.
• Design, establish and implement governance, documentation standards, workflows, business processes, and service-level expectations for HRIS support.
• Manage vendor relationships, contracts, issue escalation, release planning, system roadmaps, and optimization opportunities.
• Provide leadership, coaching, and development for HRIS team members while fostering a service-oriented, collaborative, and solutions-focused culture.
• Ensure HR systems support organizational priorities, including recruitment, retention, workforce planning, employee engagement, leadership development, compliance, and operational effectiveness.
• Follows policies, procedures, and safety standards. Completes required education assignments annually. Works toward achieving goals and objectives, and participates in quality improvement initiatives as requested.

Minimum Education

Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Information Systems, Business Administration, Healthcare Administration, or a related field required

Minimum Experience

Seven (7) years of progressive HRIS, HR technology, HR operations, or related systems experience, including experience leading system projects. Prior leadership experience managing teams, projects, vendor relationships, or cross-functional initiatives required. Experience with HRIS platforms and related modules such as core HR, payroll, benefits, talent acquisition, performance management, learning management, compensation, timekeeping, reporting, and analytics. Strong understanding of HR processes, data governance, regulatory compliance, system integrations, reporting, and HR service delivery.
