We are seeking a skilled Computer Technician to provide comprehensive technical support and maintenance for our organization's IT infrastructure. Duties
- Provide IT support for end-users, including desktop support, help desk services, and troubleshooting software issues using tools like BMC Remedy, ServiceNow, and Jira.
- Manage and maintain computer hardware, including desktops, laptops, printers, and peripherals across Windows, macOS, and Linux operating systems.
- Configure and support networking equipment such as LAN, VPN, and firewalls to ensure secure and reliable connectivity.
- Assist with the setup, deployment, and management of IT infrastructure, including servers and cloud-based solutions.
- Troubleshoot network issues related to LAN, wireless connectivity, and internet access.
- Perform routine maintenance tasks like software updates, system backups, and hardware upgrades to optimize performance.
- Document technical procedures, incidents, and resolutions using tools like Jira or Help Desk systems such as ServiceNow.
- Collaborate with team members to implement new technologies and improve existing systems while maintaining high levels of customer satisfaction.
Skills
- Strong knowledge of operating systems including Windows, macOS, and Linux.
- Experience with computer management, hardware troubleshooting, and component replacement.
- Proficiency in supporting various software applications such as the Microsoft Office suite.
- Familiarity with network configurations involving LAN, VPNs, and security measures like firewalls.
- Ability to troubleshoot complex issues related to both hardware and software environments.
- Knowledge of IT support tools such as BMC Remedy, ServiceNow, and Jira for incident tracking and resolution documentation.
- Excellent communication skills with a focus on providing exceptional customer service in technical environments.
