What are the responsibilities and job description for the Marketing Director position at Cove Point Retirement?
Full-Time | Exempt | Reports to: Executive Director
Cove Point Retirement is a senior living community in Provo, Utah, serving residents and families with assisted living and Independent Living for over forty years. The team at Cove Point loves their residents and are commited to providing great care. We're looking for a Marketing Director who can tell that story and grow our community.
The Marketing Director develops, plans, and implements the marketing plan for the community and owns the overall census. You'll be the first point of contact for prospective residents and their families — guiding them through inquiries, tours, and the decision to move in — while working closely with the Executive Director and department heads to strengthen the experience for residents already living here.
- Develop, plan, and implement the community's marketing plan
- Own the community's census and drive move-ins
- Take inquiries, educate prospective residents and families about the community, follow up consistently, resolve concerns, and invite inquiries to move in
- Partner with the Executive Director and department heads to implement programs that enhance value for residents
- Keep a model room ready at all times for prospective residents and family members to view
- Communicate with staff to prepare for tours and ensure the community is tour-ready at all times
- Train all staff to answer questions a prospective resident or family member may ask, and coach them on how to give a tour

Interpersonal skills: Focus on solving conflict rather than blaming, maintain confidentiality, listen without interrupting, keep emotions under control, and stay open to others' ideas.
