Duties
- Operate POS (Point of Sale) systems efficiently to process retail sales transactions accurately and swiftly.
- Assist customers with inquiries, offering friendly and professional communication to foster rapport.
- Stock shelves and maintain organized displays to ensure merchandise is accessible and visually appealing.
- Handle cash register operations, including cash handling, cash drawer management, and balancing registers at shift end.
- Upsell products by recommending additional items that meet customer needs, boosting sales performance.
- Knowing procedure for entering Items into Inventory.
- Make timely lists of items needed to be reordered and give to Store manager.
- Making reservations for boat patrons
- Have proper phone etiquette and VHF etiquette
- Restocking of store inventory
- Cleaning duties include vacuum, sweep, mop, dust and window cleaning
- Any other duties assigned by Ship Store manager
Qualifications
- Previous retail sales experience, preferably in grocery or specialty stores, demonstrating familiarity with retail math and cashiering procedures.
- Strong communication skills, including bilingual abilities, to connect with diverse customer bases.
- Proficiency with POS systems, cash register operations, and retail store product knowledge.
- Ability to perform basic math accurately for transactions and inventory management.
- Excellent phone etiquette for engaging with customers over the phone professionally.
- Experience in retail store environments or with retail math enhances your ability to succeed in this role.
- Strong Customer service skills
