What are the responsibilities and job description for the Pro Shop Associate position at Cove Communities?
Big Cypress Golf Club is seeking a motivated and service-oriented Pro Shop Associate to join our team. This position plays a key role in daily golf operations and works closely with the Director of Golf to deliver an exceptional experience for our members and guests.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide outstanding service to members and guests, ensuring a seamless and enjoyable golf experience.
- Assist with club tournaments and special events as assigned by the Director of Golf.
- Participate in golf activities with members and guests when appropriate.
- Support the planning and execution of all tournaments and weekly events, including setup, scoring, promotion, billing, prize distribution, and post-event follow-up.
- Assist in the creation and distribution of promotional materials for programs, events, and services.
- Answer phones professionally to schedule tee times and provide accurate information.
- Complete special projects and additional duties as assigned.
- Assist with managing, training, and developing golf shop and golf operations staff in accordance with company standards.
Knowledge, Skills, and Traits
- 1–2 years of golf industry experience preferred but not required.
- Prior supervisory experience is a plus.
- Strong working knowledge of the game of golf, the Rules of Golf, golf facility operations, and tournament administration.
- Professional demeanor with a high level of integrity and a strong work ethic.
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills with the ability to prioritize effectively.
- Self-motivated with a passion for promoting and growing the game of golf.
- Outstanding customer service skills.
- Proficiency with computers, including Microsoft Word, Excel, email, internet use, and tournament/database software.
