What are the responsibilities and job description for the Lifeguard position at Cove Communities?
Point Sebago Resort - Casco Maine
This is a seasonal full-time or part time, hourly position that reports to the Activities Manager in supporting our Water Park. The Water Park Team Member will work under the Coordinator(s) to provide a fun and well managed environment for our guests to enjoy our new water park. The Water Park Team Member is an enthusiastic, proactive team player. His/her energy is infectious, bringing positivity and continuous support to those around them. Strong communication, attention to guest safety and a can do attitude will maintain success within this role.
Primary Duties & Responsibilities
- Strong problem-solving and communication skills
- Provide fantastic customer service
- Flexibility to work shifts (weekends, nights, and holidays)
- Strong teamwork
- Able to handle money & card payments through POS
- Basic water safety knowledge preferred
- Lifeguard Certification required
- Willing to work in inclement weather
- Must be comfortable swimming and being in and out of water
Education & Experience
- Must be at least 16 years of age
- CPR certified or willing to get certified
- Lifeguard certified a must
- Willingness to learn and maintain a safe work environment
Skills & Abilities
- Results-oriented and solution-focused with a problem-solving attitude
- Team player
- An effective communicator
- Highly organized
- Able to work nights/weekends when needed
