What are the responsibilities and job description for the Compliance Coordinator position at Cove Communities?
This will be a Remote Part-time position. We are looking for an experienced underwriter and lease processor who will provide overall day-to-day management of application approval and lease generation. This includes oversight of property move in and move outs with the goal of delivering excellent customer service to the internal Cove team.
Primary Duties & Responsibilities
- Residency application review including income documentation.
- Prepare leases for new move ins
- Assist with rental and homeowner renewal/rate increase notices.
- Monthly audit of Resident move in and move outs.
- Periodic audit of Compliance documentation and processes.
- Assist with the creation of standard operating procedures for audit processes.
- Provide consistent training and coaching on procedures.
Qualifications
- Experience reviewing applications, eligibility documentation, or underwriting requirements preferred.
- Knowledge of lease administration and lease generation preferred.
- Strong mathematical and analytical skills with the ability to work accurately with spreadsheets and data.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office applications.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to explain complex requirements to individuals with varying levels of understanding.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Experience in manufactured housing, affordable housing, property management, lending, underwriting, or a related field is preferred.
Education & Experience
- Highschool diploma or equivalent.
- 2 years in Property Management, Real Estate, and/or lease processing.
- 2 years of experience in underwriting or equivalent.
Travel
Minimal travel may be required, including occasional meetings in Florida throughout the year.
