Overview
The Carrier Sales Manager leads carrier procurement and capacity strategy for a high-volume truckload brokerage. This role is responsible for building a reliable carrier network, driving team performance, and ensuring consistent coverage across core lanes.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and develop a team of Carrier Sales Reps; set activity and performance expectations
- Build and manage a strong carrier network in key markets (Southeast, Midwest, Southwest)
- Drive consistent load coverage while optimizing cost and service
- Strengthen relationships with core carriers to support high-volume lanes
- Track KPIs (coverage, margin, utilization) and improve performance through data
- Partner with Sales and Ops to support growth and execution
Qualifications
- 2–5 years of experience in freight brokerage or carrier sales
- Leadership experience preferred (team lead, supervisor, or player-coach)
- Strong understanding of truckload capacity and pricing
- Experience with CRM/TMS systems (Salesforce, McLeod, etc.)
- Data-driven and highly organized

Salary : $70,000 - $90,000
