About The Role
The Banquet Manager plays a key leadership role in ensuring the successful execution of events at Marriott DFW Westlake. This position oversees all banquet operations, including service delivery, staffing, event execution, and guest experience. The Banquet Manager works closely with the culinary, sales, and event planning teams to deliver seamless and memorable events ranging from corporate meetings to social celebrations and large-scale banquets.

Banquet Operations
- Forecast and manage departmental supply needs including china, glassware, silverware, buffet displays, and event equipment.
- Ensure compliance with all applicable laws and regulations related to banquet and event operations.
- Oversee banquet service to ensure successful event execution and maximum guest satisfaction.
- Maintain established sanitation and safety standards across all banquet operations.
- Manage banquet inventories and ensure proper maintenance of equipment and service items.
- Utilize banquet beverage records to control liquor costs and maintain accurate beverage inventory.
- Schedule banquet service staff according to event forecasts and service standards while maximizing labor efficiency.
- Support the development of strong relationships with event clients and planners to encourage repeat business.
- Lead banquet service teams and actively participate in event execution when needed.
- Set departmental goals and delegate responsibilities to support operational success.
- Conduct regular banquet team meetings to communicate expectations and reinforce service standards.
- Act as a liaison between banquet service teams and the culinary department to ensure seamless event coordination.
- Continue developing knowledge of food, beverage pairings, and current event trends.
- Set a positive example for guest relations and service excellence.
- Interact with guests and event planners to gather feedback on product quality and service levels.
- Respond promptly and professionally to guest concerns or complaints.
- Empower team members to deliver exceptional customer service during events.
- Reinforce service standards and expectations to ensure consistent guest satisfaction.
- Review guest feedback and event satisfaction results with the team to drive continuous improvement.
- Communicate and implement departmental and property emergency and safety procedures.
- Observe employee service behaviors and provide coaching and feedback.
- Monitor team performance and lead regular discussions to improve service delivery.
- Participate in the development and implementation of corrective action plans when necessary.
- Review Meeting Planner Survey results and implement strategies to improve service performance and guest satisfaction.
- Attend and participate in all relevant departmental and property meetings.
- Minimum 3–5 years of banquet or food & beverage leadership experience in a hotel or hospitality environment.
- Experience managing banquet operations, events, and service teams preferred.
- Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
- Knowledge of food and beverage service standards, event planning, and banquet operations.
- Prior experience in a hotel or luxury hospitality environment preferred.
