Marriott Night Auditor (Part-Time)
POSITION SUMMARY
Marriott runs 24/7, so flexibility with shift days, start/end times, and weekly hours is vital. The Night Auditor acts as both a Front Desk Agent and the accounting point person, balancing, reporting, and filing nightly financials across rooms, outlets, and transactions. You’ll provide guests with outstanding hospitality while ensuring accuracy in cash handling and compliance with company policies. Any emergencies, safety issues, or deviations from policy are reported to management right away.
What You’ll Do:
- Welcome and check in/out guests with a friendly, professional attitude
- Complete, balance, and file night audit reports for rooms, outlets, and accounting
- Accurately post, audit, and report on room and F&B charges, including taxes, adjustments, and zero balance folios
- Prepare daily revenue and statistics reports
- Handle all Front Desk responsibilities, including using sales skills to maximize occupancy and revenue
- Answer guest questions about hotel services, dining, shopping, entertainment, and local destinations
- Process all payments, answer and transfer calls, and complete shift documentation
- Adhere to uniform, name tag, and hospitality brand standards
- Observe all safety, sanitary, and emergency procedures in line with policy
- Attend department meetings and support team projects as needed
- Any other duties assigned by management
Who We’re Looking For:
- High school diploma or equivalent; hotel front desk/accounting experience preferred
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational and time management skills
- Able to accurately compile data, follow procedures, and resolve issues independently
- Experienced with computers, calculators, phones, and standard office equipment
- A positive communicator who thrives in a fast-paced setting
- Professional attitude, excellent listening, and strong customer service
- Legally authorized to work in the US
Physical & Scheduling Requirements:
- Stand/walk for extended periods, bend, reach, kneel, push/pull, and lift up to 40 pounds
- Handle objects requiring manual dexterity
- Shifts include overnights, weekends, and holidays
