Job Summary
The Operations Manager is responsible for overseeing the daily hotel operations, ensuring seamless coordination across departments and delivering exceptional guest experiences. The role ensures compliance with Marriott brand standards while driving operational efficiency, service excellence, and profitability.
Key Responsibilities1. Daily Operations Management
- Oversee front office, housekeeping, maintenance, and food & beverage (The Bistro) operations
- Ensure smooth coordination between all departments for efficient service delivery
- Conduct regular inspections of rooms, public areas, and facilities
2. Guest Experience & Service Quality
- Ensure exceptional guest satisfaction in line with Marriott standards
- Monitor guest feedback and service quality metrics
- Handle guest complaints promptly and effectively
3. Team Leadership & Development
- Supervise, train, and schedule operational staff
- Support staff development and performance management
- Foster a service-oriented and high-performance culture
4. Financial & Operational Control
- Monitor budgets, expenses, and cost control measures
- Maintain inventory control for supplies and hotel amenities
- Support revenue and occupancy optimization strategies
5. Compliance & Standards
- Ensure adherence to health, safety, and hospitality regulations
- Implement and maintain Marriott operational procedures and systems
6. Coordination & Reporting
- Collaborate with department heads for smooth workflow
- Assist in operational planning and performance reporting
- Support sales and revenue initiatives to maximize profitability
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in hospitality management, Business Administration, or related field
- 3–4 years of experience in hotel operations or hospitality management
- Strong leadership, communication, and guest service skills
- Familiarity with hotel property management systems (Marriott systems preferred)
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, guest-focused environment
Preferred Skills
- Experience in branded hotel environments such as Marriott
- Knowledge of hotel KPIs and revenue management basics
- Experience in food & beverage (Bistro-style operations)
- Strong multitasking and crisis management abilities
