JOB SUMMARY:
Responsible for performing night audit functions, ensuring the accuracy of financial records, and overseeing front desk operations during the night shift. Provides exceptional guest service in compliance with hotel standards and resolves any overnight guest inquiries or issues.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Primary Responsibilities:
· Reviews the Front Desk Log for any unusual situations or conditions relevant to the night shift.
· Posts all telephone, food, and miscellaneous charges to guest folios.
· Reviews all check-out folios to ensure a zero balance and verifies approval codes for credit card transactions.
· Follows established night audit procedures, which may vary depending on the hotel’s system.
· Reviews upcoming reservations for the next day, ensuring all required information is complete and flagging discrepancies for morning review.
· Prepares the Housekeeping/Rooms Status Report.
· Completes the Shift Deposit Report, counts cash in the drawer, and has the deposit verified and recorded by the Front Office Manager or designee before securing it in the locked safe.
· Records any important information in the Front Desk Log for the next shift.
· Reviews overall hotel status and any unusual circumstances with the incoming morning front desk clerk.
· Checks for messages or mail in message/mail slots and ensures message lights are activated for appropriate rooms.
· Maintains cleanliness and organization of the front desk area.
· Conducts a weekly review of reservations for the upcoming month, cross-checking against the reservations control system for accuracy.
· Performs any additional duties and responsibilities as required.

EDUCATION & CERTIFICATIONS :
· High school diploma or equivalent required; an associate or bachelor’s degree in hospitality management is a plus.
· Minimum of 1-2 years of front desk or hotel experience, preferably in night audit or financial reconciliation roles.
· Experience with hotel management systems and financial reporting is preferred.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
· Ability to stand for extended periods during the shift.
· Ability to lift and carry up to 25 pounds occasionally.
· Ability to work overnight shifts, including weekends and holidays.
· Ability to perform repetitive motions, including using a computer and handling paperwork.
Pay: $24.45 - $29.44 per hour
