About Gryco
Gryco Sportswear has been a trusted name in custom screen printing, embroidery, and promotional apparel since 1985. Family-owned and craft-driven, we serve schools, sports organizations, corporate clients, and non-profits across Northern California. Our reputation is built on precision, consistency, and quality that shows up in every print run — and we're looking for a skilled press operator who takes that same pride in their work.
The Role
We are hiring a full-time Screen Printer to operate our automatic M&R Gauntlet RS press and support day-to-day production. This is a hands-on, production-floor position with real ownership over quality output. You'll work alongside a tight-knit team that values craftsmanship, efficiency, and doing things right.
What You'll Do
- Set up, operate, and maintain the automatic M&R Gauntlet RS screen printing press
- Mix and match inks to meet client color specifications (Pantone/PMS matching)
- Perform screen prep: coat, expose, wash out, and reclaim screens
- Load, align, and register garments for accurate print placement
- Conduct quality checks throughout the production run to ensure consistency
- Troubleshoot press issues (off-contact, squeegee pressure, flash cure timing)
- Follow production schedules and meet output targets with accuracy
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe press area
- Coordinate with the art/design team to ensure print-readiness of files and separations
- Document production output and flag any issues that affect turnaround
What We're Looking For
- 1–3 years of experience operating an automatic screen printing press (M&R preferred)
- Working knowledge of plastisol inks, water-based inks, and specialty printing
- Experience with screen exposure units, film positives, and emulsion
- Strong eye for color accuracy and print registration
- Ability to read and follow work orders and production specs
- Team-oriented attitude with a focus on quality and efficiency
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs
- Reliable, punctual, and self-directed
Nice to Have

- Familiarity with prepress software or color separation tools
- Experience in a high-volume print shop environment
