Description
This position is responsible for the immediate supervision of operations at a senior center site.
Essential Functions
Evaluation of this position is based primarily on performance of the following essential functions, which include, but are not limited to:
Direct meal service operations.
Record daily participation and maintain daily sign-up sheets to assist in ordering meals.
Assist participants in registering for meals & provide education on VSS Programing
Create a well-rounded monthly activity schedule consisting of crafts, recreational, and educational activities for senior participants
Supervise serving of the noon meal
Keep inventory and order kitchen supplies as needed.
Supervision of site assistants and volunteers.
Schedule staff to help with daily operations at the senior center site, provide direction, and help to staff.
Responsible for handling meal donations and ride ticket purchases
Support Nutrition Program through administrative duties and assist Program Manager as needed
Other Functions
Evaluation of this position may also be based on performance of the following other functions, which include, but are not limited to:
Keeps direct supervisor promptly informed of key and significant issues or concerns.
Carries out duties and responsibilities in a safe and efficient manner to maintain safe work environment and surrounding area for oneself, co-workers, and public.
Performs related duties as assigned or apparent.
Requirements
Previous experience in food service preferred.
