Role Description
This is a part-time, on-site/hybrid position for a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner at Courage to Connect Mental Health Center, located in Glenview, IL. The Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner will assess, diagnose, and provide tailored treatment for individuals with mental health concerns. Responsibilities include conducting psychiatric evaluations, creating and managing treatment plans, prescribing medications, monitoring patient progress, and collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to ensure personalized and effective care.
Qualifications
- Strong foundation in Mental Health Nursing and Psychiatric Care
- Experience as a Nurse Practitioner with a focus on mental health and behavioral care
- Knowledge of and skills in Mental Health Care and Nursing, including patient assessment and treatment implementation
- Effective communication and collaboration in a multidisciplinary team setting
- Advanced practice registered nursing (APRN) certification and state licensure as a Nurse Practitioner
- Experience in providing care for individuals with diverse backgrounds and mental health needs
- Commitment to continuous learning and staying updated on mental health best practices
- Willing to prescribe to patients ages 6
- Has a collaborating physician
- DEA Licensure
