Summary
We’re excited to be getting our Hayward facility up and running and are looking for a hands-on Facility Maintenance Technician to help us reach operational readiness.
Responsibilities
- Perform routine inspections and maintenance on facility systems and equipment to prevent issues and ensure proper operation.
- Monitoring HVAC/Refrigeration system and notify management of issues (rounds)
- Respond promptly to maintenance requests and repair issues related to lighting, plumbing, and general building upkeep.
- Conduct preventative maintenance and maintain compliance with all safety and operational policies.
- Handle general facility repairs and improvements, including painting, basic carpentry, and minor installations.
- Ensure workplace safety by identifying and correcting potential hazards and adhering to safety protocols.
- Maintain accurate documentation of maintenance activities, repairs, and materials used.
- Qualifications
- Troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Ability to read and follow technical manuals, blueprints, or schematics
- Proven ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities
- Effective communication and teamwork skills when working with staff and contractors
- High attention to detail in inspections, repairs, and record-keeping
- Basic computer skills for logging maintenance activities and managing inventory
- Physical ability to lift, climb, and perform hands-on maintenance tasks
- High school diploma or equivalent required; technical certification or trade school training preferred
- 2 years of facility or maintenance experience in an industrial, commercial, or food manufacturing environment preferred
