What are the responsibilities and job description for the Dispatch position at Countywide Transportation?
Dispatcher/Receptionist
Will be on the phone most of your shift with our drivers and clients' homes. Must be able to work with technology (phones & computers). We use Google Suite.
Responsibilities:
- Must be very good with communication. You are responsible for the communication between clients' homes and the bus driver. Clients' homes call for cancellations on trips, ETA, etc. & drivers call when their client is not outside and ready.
- You will also be in communication with the clients' programs for any updates on closures, new clients (you'll add closures to the calendar). Informing them of late arrivals, etc.
- Print and put out next day's manifests for the drivers
- Close the office
- View and respond to emails from staff
- keep drivers informed on cancelations
- calling riders' homes to confirm for trips
- fill out clock in sheet (park out drivers will call to clock in)
Must be available Monday-Friday (no weekends).
Shift will most likely be 5:30AM-6:00PM
Morning shift 6:00AM-10:00AM
Evening shift 2:00PM-6:00PM
**PLEASE KEEP IN MIND THAT WE ARE A TRANSPORTATION COMPANY AND THAT YOU MAY BE ASKED TO COVER A SHORT ROUTE WHEN WE HAVE A CALL OFF. Office staff is always the last to be asked to cover a route, therefore this rarely happens. We will send out the Road Supervisor's or Safety Manager first.

Pay: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour
