Dispatcher Towing

Countywide Towing & Hauling is seeking a dependable, organized, and calm-under-pressure Dispatcher to join our 24/7 towing and roadside operation.

Previous dispatch experience is strongly preferred, especially in towing, transportation, logistics, or roadside assistance. However, we are willing to train the right individual who demonstrates strong communication skills, good judgment, the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment, and a genuine willingness to learn.

The ideal candidate is someone who can remain professional under pressure, think independently, communicate effectively with drivers and customers, and stay organized while managing multiple moving parts at once. Familiarity with Philadelphia, Delaware County, South Jersey, and surrounding tri-state travel routes is a major plus.

This position is best suited for someone who is reliable, self-motivated, quick-thinking, and able to work confidently with minimal supervision in a fast-moving environment.

Duties:

• Coordinate and schedule towing activities, including dispatching drivers and managing routes, received electronically and by phone
• Utilize TowBooks, a transportation management system, to dispatch tows and update information
• Communicate with drivers, customers, and internal teams to ensure timely delivery and billing of services
• Handle data entry tasks to update records and billing
• Monitor driver and fleet management activities, including daily inspection logs, vehicle maintenance, repairs, and inspections
• Resolve any issues or delays in transportation operation
• Collect and organize Road Service Slips
• AP/AR processing

Skills:

• Strong organizational skills to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively
• Excellent communication skills to interact with drivers, customers, and internal teams
• Proficient in using phone systems and computer software for data entry and tracking purposes
• Strong knowledge of transportation management systems such as TowBooks, or similar towing management system
• Experience with motorclubs highly preferred
• Bookkeeping / Quickbooks software knowledge (a plus)
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities a must

Note: Previous experience as a dispatcher or in transportation management is strongly preferred.
