The Human Resources and Development Department is seeking a highly qualified individual for the HRIS unit. Advance your career in this FLSA exempt classification that is characterized by its responsibility for complex and specialized department or county-wide human resources activities.
This recruitment will establish an employment list to fill current and any such future vacancies within the Human Resources & Development Department (HR&D). Work Schedule: Monday-Thursday: 7:30 am - 5:30 pm; Fridays: 8:00 am - 12:00 pm
Human Resources Capital Management/HRIS:
Evaluating, installing, configuring, and maintaining the HRIS, ensuring it meets organizational needs. Monitoring data input and output for accuracy, and improving data collection and reporting procedures. Identify and address workflow inefficiencies; communicate issues to stakeholders, including Payroll/Auditor, IT, and HR staff. Ensuring the security and integrity of HR data through regular audits and maintenance. Coordinates system modifications to implement changes in compensation, benefits, record keeping and reporting; supervises the onboarding and processing of new employees and status changes such as transfers, leave of absence, merit increases, and separation. Providing training and support to HR staff and users, communicating updates and changes. Developing and maintaining detailed user manuals and system guidelines. Ensure the HRIS complies with all relevant laws and company policies.

Minimum qualifications are used as a guide for establishing the education, training, experience, special skills and/or license which are required and equivalent to the following.
Education: Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university with major coursework in public or business administration, human resources management, communications, project management, or a related field.
Experience: Four (4) years of increasingly responsible experience in human resources with demonstrated complex projects or assignments, including one (1) year in a supervisory or lead role.
DESIRABLE EMPLOYMENT STANDARDS
Knowledge of:
Oracle HCM Cloud modules or other similar human capital management systems, including:
- Time and Labor
- Absence Management
- Core HR
- Payroll
Human resources, public sector human resources, payroll, benefits, and retirement processes.
Conditions of Employment
Candidates selected will be required to pass a pre-employment drug and alcohol screening. Additionally, a background investigation may also be conducted, which may include a re-investigation every 10 years for some positions.
