About the Position:
Under the direction of the Public Health Director, provides administrative supervision and evaluation of assigned licensed professionals, paraprofessionals, interns, and designated support staff. Plans, implements, supervises and evaluates specialized public health programs such as Healthy Families America.
- Supervises, monitors and evaluates the daily case management work of Family Support Workers. Supervises and monitors the work of additional clinical and non-clinical support staff.
- Evaluates and assigns new cases; monitors caseload volume and activities to ensure the provision of quality services and treatment; reviews charts and daily service activity logs for quality assurance.
- Monitors productivity of staff to ensure that productivity standards are being met, evaluating potential problem areas, making recommendations for problem resolution and assuring compliance with plan for improvement.
Bilingual Candidates: Translates, interprets and otherwise communicates with members of the Spanish speaking community.
Any combination of training and experience which would provide the required knowledge, skills and abilities is qualifying. A typical way to obtain the required qualifications would be:
- Graduation from an accredited college or university with a Master’s Degree in a health related or social services related field.
- Graduation from an accredited college or university with a Bachelor’s Degree in a health related or social services related field and three (3) years of experience working with families and children providing family centered and strength based services preferably in a home visiting environment, of which two (2) years involved providing case management services. Experience providing services utilizing evidence based practices is highly desired. One (1) year supervisory experience is desired.
- Up to two (2) years of graduate professional education may be substituted for the experience requirement on a year-for-year basis. Other combinations of education and experience may be considered.
License & Special Requirements:
- Requires a valid California driver’s license.
- Must possess, or be willing to obtain, a national provider identifier (NPI).
Bilingual Candidates:
• Must pass a Merit Systems Services written and/or oral bilingual proficiency test (or other appropriate test selected by the County) to qualify.
The department is currently recruiting for one (1) vacancy.
In addition, Tehama County is establishing an eligibility list to fill future vacancies for a Family Support Worker Supervisor or Family Support Worker Supervisor - Bilingual, as well as, subsequent vacancies, which occur during the life of the eligibility list.

1st- Monday, November 3, 2025 from 10:00am to 12:00pm.
2nd- Friday, November 7, 2025 from 1:00pm to 2:00pm.
