What are the responsibilities and job description for the Kitchen Aide position at County of Newaygo?
Under the supervision of the Food Service Manager/Head Cook, Kitchen Aides are responsible to assist in the preparation of meals and kitchen operations for Newaygo County seniors.
- Assist with meal preparations, washing dishes, cleaning kitchen, and any other kitchen duties that may be assigned.
- Cleaning tables and chairs in the dining room, preparing vegetables for the salad bar, helping with beverages, serving meals if necessary, and organizing meal supplies.
- Education: High school diploma, GED, or equivalent.
- Experience: Six (6) months of prior experience in a food preparation environment is preferred.
- Must possess the ability to lift cases and pans of food and work in a kitchen environment.
- Must possess a valid Michigan Driver's License
- Must submit to pre-employment drug testing and background check.
