Psychiatric Specialist I/II/III

The Psychiatric Specialist I/II/III provides professional behavioral health services to individuals, children, and families experiencing mental health, substance use, and related behavioral health challenges. This position conducts comprehensive assessments, develops treatment plans, provides individual and group therapy, responds to behavioral health crises, and collaborates with healthcare providers, schools, law enforcement, probation, and community organizations to ensure coordinated care. As employees progress through the series, they assume increasingly complex clinical responsibilities, greater independence in case management, and, at the advanced level, program development, administrative, and coordination duties. This position plays a vital role in improving community wellness by delivering compassionate, evidence-based behavioral health services while promoting prevention, education, and recovery.

• Two years of increasingly responsible experience in mental health program counseling.
• Masters degree in social work or counseling psychology and eligibility for marriage, family and child counselor or licensed Clinical Social Worker license highly desirable.

• Possession of a valid Marriage, Family and Child Counselor, Clinical Social Worker or Clinical Psychologist license issued by the California Board of Behavioral Science.

• Two years of increasingly responsible experience in mental health program counseling comparable to that of a Psychiatric Specialist II.
• Masters degree in social work or counseling psychology.

Salary : $74,859 - $110,864
