Department Summary
The Auditor-Controller’s Office, within the Finance Department, is responsible for delivering transparent, accurate, and compliant financial services that support Mono County’s operations, residents, and public agencies. Core departmental functions include financial reporting, payroll administration, general accounting, property tax accounting and apportionment, accounts payable, treasury reconciliation, cost allocation, and compliance with state and federal reporting requirements.
Staff work collaboratively to maintain the County’s financial systems, uphold internal controls, and ensure fiscal integrity across all County funds, special districts, and mandated programs. The department is committed to responsible stewardship of public resources and continuous improvement in financial management practices.
