What are the responsibilities and job description for the Public Health Nurse position at County of Monmouth?
Eligible candidate will have graduated from an accredited college or university with a Bachelor's degree in Nursing and at least one year of Public Health Experience. The health department is a busy comprehensive public health agency which will allow the candidate to learn and participate in population based health outcomes. Our primary focus is to promote health and prevent disease. The job includes communicable disease investigation, administering vaccines for adults and children, nurse case management for the lead poisoning prevention program, STI education, testing, and treatment, tuberculosis surveillance, testing, counseling, blood draws, client evaluation and medication monitoring at the clients home, preparedness planning and many health related educational programs.
