We are seeking a customer-focused Library Assistant to join our Circulation team. This position plays a key role in delivering excellent service to patrons across our library locations.
Responsibilities include:
- Checking library materials in and out
- Shelving and organizing materials
- Assisting patrons with basic inquiries
- Maintaining circulation records using the library’s computerized management system.
- Preparing materials for circulation
- Supporting library displays and programs
Qualifications:
- Strong customer service skills required
- Proficiency with computers in a Windows environment
- Ability to learn and use the library’s computerized management system.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
Schedule & Requirements:
- 25 hours per week
- Day, evening, and weekend hours required
- Schedule may vary; flexibility to cover last-minute changes needed
- Ability to travel to various library branch locations required
