What are the responsibilities and job description for the Employee Board of Elections [Clerical Temp] position at County of Monmouth?
Board of Elections Clerical Temps are needed to assist BOE full-time staff with meeting election-related deadlines as stipulated under New Jersey Statutes Annotated-Title 19-Elections. Candidates should have previously served as a Monmouth County Poll Worker and possess prior office or teaching experience. Bi-lingual candidates will be strongly considered. Clerical Temps will address election-related inquiries and concerns from the public; assist with the ballot processing system; conduct Poll Worker training classes; assist with Early Voting and Election Day Poll Worker assignments; accept hand-delivered mail-in ballots; process challenger credential requests and completed other election-related tasks as assigned.
Rate of pay is $22.00/hour.
Work hours are Monday – Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., overtime and weekend hours may be needed during stipulated Early Voting periods and on Election Day.
Please be advised, all Monmouth County positions are on site. There are no provisions to work remotely.
