What are the responsibilities and job description for the Zia Senior Citizens/ Carrizozo - Driver/Clerk/Cook Aide position at County of Lincoln?
- Assists with preparation of well-balanced, nutritious meals according to standardized recipes, established policies, procedures, and nutritional, federal, and state guidelines.
- Prepares kitchen equipment and various food items for daily operations.
- Assists with preparations of carry-out lunches and packing the meals into containers for delivery.
- Cleans and sanitizes kitchen, cooking equipment, utensils, delivery bags, and eating areas on a daily basis.
- Performs custodial and maintenance tasks, including dusting, mopping, floor finishing and buffing, vacuuming, shampooing carpets, and cleaning and restocking restrooms, with key duties such as replenishing paper and soap supplies.
- Empties trash receptacles, ensures proper disposal of waste, and may replace light bulbs as directed.
- Maintains custodial equipment and supplies.
- Attends and participates in regularly scheduled staff meetings.
- Enhances professional growth and development through participation in seminars, educational workshops, classes, and conferences.
- Comply with all property and department policies and procedures.
- Maintains and assures confidentiality of all departmental matters and records.
- Remains flexible in working hours as needed to meet deadlines and support organizational needs.
- Contributes to a team effort to achieve goals and deliver successful outcomes.
- Executes other tasks and responsibilities as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications
- High school diploma/GED.
- Must obtain and maintain Serve-Safe Food Handler certification.
- Valid driver’s license is required when operating a vehicle for work-related purposes.
- Must successfully complete pre-employment requirements.

Work Environment:
Work is generally performed in a kitchen or cafeteria setting with an excessive noise level. The employee occasionally is exposed to dust, fumes, airborne particles, allergens, and/or second-hand smoke; hazardous/moving equipment; and hostile, offensive, and / or violent individuals. Evening and/or weekend work may be required. Tight time constraints and multiple demands are common.
Physical/Mental Requirements:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee regularly is required to stand and walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands or arms; taste or smell; and talk or hear. Clarity of vision at short distance is required. Employee may occasionally sit; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. May be required to lift and/or carry up to 50 pounds.
