The Interlibrary Loan Coordinator facilitates interlibrary lending and borrowing for the residents of Delaware County, and libraries across the United States. In addition, this position aids staff in the 26 Delaware County Libraries with their interlibrary loan services, handling all shipping and receiving of materials arriving on a daily basis, help with outreach events, and maintains statistical reports relating to interlibrary loan.
- Receives and coordinates all Interlibrary Loan (ILL) material requests among 26 Delaware County Libraries member libraries and a national network of lending libraries.
- Uses various interlibrary loan platforms such as WorldShare and ShareIt, the Delaware County Libraries circulation system, and mailing software from contracted shipper.
- Maintains statistical reports.
- Provides support and training for the system’s interlibrary loan librarians via telephone, email and in person.
- Assists with sorting in-office delivery of mail and other items.
- Assists Adult Services Coordinator with related projects.
