The Voting Machine Polling Place Coordinator is responsible for overseeing daily functions at the voting machine warehouse, supplies inventory and maintaining all electronic voting equipment.

While performing the duties of this position, the employee is frequently required to stand, walk; sit; reach above shoulders or work with arms above shoulder height; bend at waist or work bent at the waist; push, lift and carry items; drive a vehicle; and talk or hear. Occasionally, the employee will need to kneel, stoop, crouch or squat; crawl; work while on a ladder; and twist or rotate at the waist. On rare occasions, the employee will need to climb stairs, climb ladders, work with an uncommon level of noise.

Work Environment:
- Maintain all electronic voting equipment daily (e.g., charging batteries, testing, etc.).
- Train new employees and temp staff and oversee the training of election officials.
- Train precinct election officials to operate electronic voting machines.
- Organize the programming and testing of all voting machines.
- Plot out delivery and pick-up routes for voting machines.
- Inspect polling place locations for ADA compliance and voting logistics.
- Source locations, manage sign postings and related hearings for new polling places.
- Assist in coordinating the destruction of documents based on state and federal mandates.
- Prepare necessary electronic voting machines’ supplies that are used for voting.
- Compile information and format reports, graphs, tables, records and other sources of information as needed by the department.
- Manage poll worker material inventory program.
- Manage equipment center (approximately 700 pieces of hardware), including planned and emergent maintenance, appropriate storage and protection, delivery schedules and vendor coordination.
- Execute election logic and accuracy testing.
- Perform other duties, tasks and special projects, as required.
- High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED).
- Minimum of two years of job-related experience.
- Knowledge of voting machine equipment and guidelines with an ability to train.
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to follow office protocol
- Proficiency in grammar and spelling, with strong written and verbal communication.
- Ability to interface effectively with all levels of county management.
- Balance individual and team responsibilities to complete objectives
- Ability to establish priorities, direct work assignments and carry tasks to completion
- Detail oriented with an ability to multi-task and resolve recurring problems.
- Excellent time management and organizational skills.
- Flexible, with an ability to adapt to changing environments and conditions.
- Associate’s degree from an accredited college or university with courses in Office Administration, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Three or more years of job-related experience, with an emphasis on elections.
- Knowledge of applicable county, state, and federal laws, rules, and regulations pertaining to election operations.
- General knowledge and understanding of Chester County policies and procedures.

- Intermediate to Advanced OutLook skills (Email and Calendar)
