What are the responsibilities and job description for the Head Groundskeeper position at County of Blair?
Under general supervision, the seasonal head groundskeeper supervises a seasonal groundskeeper and together, they care for and maintain buildings, trails, and grounds at Valley View Park between roughly April and October so that all facilities, trails and property is in a neat, attractive, and safe condition.
Qualified applicants must hold a high school diploma or GED; be at least 18 years old; possess a minimum of one year's hands-on experience in grounds keeping, landscaping, construction work, maintenance, or other directly related field; knowledge of various building maintenance procedures and techniques; knowledge of machinery, equipment, and tools necessary for maintenance and repair of hard and soft surfaces; valid Pennsylvania driver's license and clean MVR; supervisory skills sufficient to oversee one worker and various projects; keen attention to detail; diligence, initiative, and pride in work done well. Applicants will need clearances to comply with Child Protective Services law by time of hire
