What are the responsibilities and job description for the Parks And Grounds Maint Worker - PT position at County of Bedford?
Performs intermediate semiskilled work in the maintenance of parks and grounds; mowing, trimming, mulching, basic carpentry, and mechanical repairs; related work as required. Work is performed under regular supervision.
This is a temporary, hourly position scheduled to end in October 2025, with a 40-hour work week.
Qualifications
- Any combination of education and experience equivalent to graduation from high school.
- Experience as a semiskilled worker in grounds maintenance.
- Valid driver's license required.
- General knowledge of the safe use of common hand and power tools.
- Knowledge of preventative maintenance of equipment used in landscaping and grounds maintenance.
- Ability to perform manual labor for extended periods in various weather conditions.
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with associates.
