The Cost Accountant is responsible for analyzing, tracking, and reporting all manufacturing costs to support operational efficiency and financial accuracy. The Cost Accountant partners closely with operations, supply chain, and finance teams to provide cost insights, identify variances, support budgeting and forecasting, and recommend process improvements. This position ensures that cost accounting practices align with GAAP and internal controls, helping leadership make data-driven decisions to optimize profitability within the manufacturing environment.

Job Duties & Responsibilities:
- Perform job cost accounting as required for specific product lines and special projects
- Track and analyze job-related costs, including labor, materials, and overhead
- Prepare and post journal entries in accordance with GAAP and company policies
- Compile monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements
- Substantiate financial transactions through communication and collaboration with internal team members
- Maintain financial security by adhering to internal controls and accounting procedures
- Assist with special projects and other accounting duties as assigned by the Divisional Controller.

- Associate Degree in Accounting required, bachelor’s degree in accounting preferred.
- 2-4 years of accounting or related experience
- Prior experience with job costing or cost accounting.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite products with advanced knowledge and use of Excel
- Strong mathematical, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Proactive, self-motivated, and able to manage multiple priorities within a fast-paced environment.
