We are seeking a Dispatcher for County Materials at Maxwell, IN
Job Duties:
- Plan and organize loads within region to dispatch trucks to meet customer requests and production team activities.
- Communicates with customers to determine driver demand and driving schedules.
- Notifies drivers of assignments and enters assignment data into a computer database.
- Prepare delivery tickets for drivers and respond to inquiries from drivers.
- Utilize multi-line phones, two-way radios, and computer software for data entry and route coordination.
- Performs administrative duties.
Work Environment:
- Indoor office environment.
Physical Requirements:
- Frequent Sitting.
Experience & Qualifications:
- High School diploma or equivalent.
- 2-4 years of experience in the field or in a related area.
- Adequate combination of education/service years/experience will be considered for the right candidate.
- Familiar with commonly-used concepts, practices, and procedures within the trucking industry.
- Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.
- Assertive, self-motivated and positive attitude.
- Attention to detail while performing a variety of tasks is a must.
- A wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected.
- Excellent communication, organizational and time management skills.
- Customer service oriented.
- Intermediate level in MS Office: Outlook, Excel and Word.
