We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Line Cook/Prep Cook to join our culinary team. Responsibilities
- Prepare ingredients and assist in meal assembly according to standardized recipes and menu specifications
- Cook a variety of dishes while adhering to safety standards in production and food handling procedures
- Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently, including knives, slicers, ovens, and other appliances
- Maintain cleanliness of workstations, utensils, and kitchen tools to meet sanitation standards
- Follow recipe adherence and portion control guidelines to ensure consistency in food quality
- Assist with menu planning and meal preparation for daily service or catering events
- Communicate effectively with kitchen staff to coordinate food production and service flow
- Monitor inventory levels of ingredients and notify management of supply needs
- Ensure compliance with food safety management protocols at all times
Experience
- Previous experience in a restaurant or food service environment is preferred
- Dietary department or dietary aide experience is a plus
- Knowledge of food industry standards, safety procedures, and sanitation practices
- Skills in culinary techniques including knife skills, slicing techniques, and cooking methods
- Experience with food preparation, meal assembly, and catering is advantageous
- Familiarity with kitchen equipment operation and food safety management systems
- Strong communication skills for effective teamwork within the kitchen environment
Pay: $15.00 - $18.00 per hour
Expected hours: 25.0 – 40.0 per week
