Duties
- Perform lawn care activities including mowing, edging, fertilizing, aerating, and weed control to maintain healthy, vibrant turf.
- Execute landscape maintenance tasks such as pruning, trimming trees and shrubs, planting flowers, and mulching to keep landscapes thriving.
- Utilize hand tools and power tools effectively for planting, digging, edging, and other landscaping projects.
- Operate heavy equipment like excavators for site preparation, grading, or hardscape installation to ensure precision and safety.
- Install and maintain irrigation systems to promote efficient watering practices across various landscape types.
- Construct hardscape features such as patios, walkways, retaining walls, and fire pits that enhance outdoor functionality and visual appeal.
- Conduct seasonal snow plowing operations to ensure safe access during winter months.
- Perform routine landscape inspections to identify maintenance needs or potential hazards related to trees or structures.
- Assist with tree care activities including trimming, removal, or planting to support healthy growth and safety standards.
- Support overall garden design projects by collaborating with team members to implement creative landscaping solutions.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in landscaping, gardening, or related outdoor maintenance roles with a strong understanding of horticulture principles.
- Mechanical knowledge of lawn care equipment, hand tools, power tools, and heavy machinery such as excavators.
- Familiarity with landscape maintenance techniques including mowing, pruning, planting, irrigation installation, and snow plowing.
- Knowledge of tree care practices including trimming and health assessment to ensure safety and vitality.
- Ability to operate construction equipment safely while adhering to all safety protocols.
- Strong physical stamina with the ability to stand, walk, lift heavy objects, and perform strenuous tasks for extended periods.
