Pet Grooming Apprentice
Countryside Grooming – Powell, Wyoming
No grooming experience? No problem. We’ll teach you.
Have you always wanted to work with dogs but didn’t know where to start?
Countryside Grooming is looking for a motivated, dependable individual to join our team as a Pet Grooming Apprentice. This is a hands-on training program designed to teach you the skills needed to become a professional pet groomer.
If you love animals, enjoy working with your hands, and are willing to learn, we’ll provide the training.
What You’ll Learn
- Safe dog handling
- Bathing and drying techniques
- Brushing and deshedding
- Nail trimming and ear cleaning
- Proper use and care of grooming equipment
- Breed identification
- Customer service
- Salon safety and sanitation
- Professional grooming techniques from beginner to advanced
As your skills develop, you’ll gradually take on more responsibility and learn every aspect of professional grooming at a pace based on your progress.
Training
Most of your daily work will be in our Powell salon. Some hands-on training will take place at our Worland location, where you’ll work alongside experienced groomers to build your skills.
Reliable transportation to Worland during the training period is required.
