Job Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and detail-oriented Part-Time AM Medical Technician to join our healthcare team. This role provides vital support in patient care within assisted living, nursing homes, hospitals, and community care settings. The ideal candidate will have experience working with elderly populations, individuals with developmental disabilities, or those requiring specialized memory and dementia care. Duties
- Assist with daily patient care activities, including vital signs monitoring, medication administration, and basic hygiene assistance
- Support patients with activities of daily living such as mobility, feeding (including tube feeding), and personal hygiene
- Document medical information accurately using Electronic Medical Records (EMR) or Electronic Health Records (EHR) systems such as Epic or Cerner
- Assist in the management of patients with conditions like Alzheimer’s, dementia, or other memory impairments
- Follow HIPAA guidelines to ensure patient confidentiality and privacy at all times
- Collaborate with nursing staff and other healthcare professionals to deliver comprehensive care
- Maintain cleanliness and safety standards within the care environment
- Support patients with disabilities or chronic conditions in a home or community setting
Qualifications
- Prior experience in assisted living, nursing homes, hospitals, hospice, or home care environments preferred
- Knowledge of medical terminology, physiology, anatomy, and basic nursing practices
- Experience working with people with developmental disabilities or in memory/dementia care is highly desirable
- Ability to perform medical procedures including catheter care, vital signs measurement, and medication administration accurately
- Strong communication skills and compassionate approach to patient care
- Certification as a Medical Technician or similar credential preferred but not required
- Ability to work part-time during morning hours with flexibility for shifts that may include weekends or holidays as needed
