We are seeking a dedicated Activity Assistant to join our team in organizing and implementing engaging activities for our residents. The ideal candidate will have a passion for working with seniors and creating a vibrant and stimulating environment.
Responsibilities
- Lead recreational activities for residents in assisted living facilities or nursing homes
- Develop and implement programs that cater to the physical, mental, and emotional well-being of seniors
- Provide support and assistance to residents with aging-related issues, including dementia care
- Manage activity schedules to ensure a variety of options for residents
- Collaborate with staff members to enhance the quality of life for residents
Experience
- Experience in recreational therapy, home community care, senior care, or related fields is preferred
- Knowledge of aging issues counseling, dementia care, and social work is beneficial
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage schedules effectively
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $16.00 - $18.00 per hour
Expected hours: 20 per week
